How it is evaluated
Evaluation typically starts with a semen analysis and a focused history. Follow-up may include hormonal testing, genetic testing, imaging, or referral to a urologist specializing in male infertility.
Treatment options
Options depend on findings. They can include lifestyle changes, medical treatment, surgical treatment, IUI, or IVF with ICSI. In cases where sperm cannot be produced in the ejaculate, surgical retrieval may be discussed.
